I’m 15 and I want to get a few extra cash. I do some chores at home and get $ 5 a week, but I find it really hard getting a job, so I was wondering if theres any way you can make, like, an easy home business or something? Or just ways to make some extra cash?

Day 59 – December 30, 2004: It seems like there’s an easy way to make money on Boxing Day and the days that follow if you’re a retailer. Get goods to people that are perceived as inexpensive, get the people with said goods to a till and ring the purchase through. Repeat for effect.
Yet so many stores aren’t doing it this way. Instead it’s: make people work hard to find the goods that aren’t really on sale at all, make them wait to get what they need, and then force them to wait in lines of up to 20 – 30 minutes long just to buy said goods.
Hey, I’m no retail genius, but I don’t think you’re going to sell many impulse items if the customer has 20 minutes to stand in the checkout line and get mad at the store.

Sorry, but there isn’t any easy money to be had. Try cleaning houses, babysitting, washing cars, dog walking, picking up dog poop and doing odd chores for friends and neighbors.
There’s a company employing adults in my area that does nothing but pick up dog poop in people’s yards. Get some gloves, a plastic bag and you’re good to go. It doesn’t take much time to do, either.
There are lots of opportunities. You will be your own boss, setting your own hours, so you’ll have complete flexibility. Just be sure if you say you’re going to do something for someone, get the job done well and on time. Ask these people to spread the word that you need money and are willing to work. Make a flyer with your name, phone number and what jobs you’ll do. Leave it on the neighbors’ doorknob, and give it to anyone you work for. You’ll get lots of offers this way.
